Diploma in English Language and Literature is a one-year Course designed for the students who wish to enhance their English language and communication skills. The program introduces students to major literary genres: poetry, fiction and drama.

This project will be of special interest 

Those who are interested in developing their communication skills in English and gain a basic knowledge of English literature.

English teachers who want to increase their understanding and appreciation of English language and literature.

Those interested in pursuing higher education in English

• Advanced Reading Capability - LED3507
• Advanced Writing - LED3508
• Advanced Grammar and Communication Skills - LED3509
• Introduction to Poetry - LED 3510
• Introduction to Fiction - LED3511
• Dramatic Introduction - LED3512

Eligibility Requirement:

Applicants must have Passed in Professional English after 2012 in OUSL.

Or

Passed in Advanced Certificate in English for Business and Professional Communication Stage II With have a Minimum "B" Passes. 

Or

Passed in GCE A/L Examination in 03 Subjects at one Sitting. 

Or 

Passed in any Foundation Course offered by OUSL.

Application Fee 

Those who have been selected for the course, the following fees apply

Registration Fee - Rs. 400.00

Facility Fee - Rs. 1,500.00

Library Fee - Rs. 100.00

Tuition Fee - Rs.49,500.00 

Total Sum of Rs.51,500.00
